My name is Cameron. I love to bringing automotive information to people in the form of DIY videos, reviews, and educational content - but I’m not a mechanic. I’m just a car enthusiast who’s been wrenching on and driving VW’s and Audis for over 20 years now.

Brought up on the internet forums of old, what started off as fixing & modifying cars myself out of necessity turned into a lifelong hobby of learning, breaking things, fixing them again, and slowly understanding how they actually work.

After purchasing my 2013 Audi A6 in December of 2018 I started looking into modifications and DIY’s on YouTube. I found a severe lack of content for the C7 Audi platform and decided it might be a fun hobby to start making DIY videos to help other C7 enthusiasts. Thus, Audi C7 Owners was born.

The success my channel had was far beyond my wildest expectations. AC7O allowed me to forge incredible friendships and partnerships with enthusiasts and companies alike.

But eventually the name started to feel like a constraint as the channel grew. While I wasn’t abandoning the C7 platform, I did want to grow and work on other VW/Audi platforms. So, in January of 2026 I rebranded the channel into an official brand that reflected the DIY spirit my channel has had for so many years: Garage Taught.

With no formal training I’m just a regular guy in the garage teaching myself through experience, mistakes, and a lot of late nights. Garage Taught was created to share that journey: Real-world DIY maintenance, repairs, and modifications explained honestly, so others can learn without breaking the bank on costly shop labor.

When I am not in the garage fixing my cars (or filming videos for you guys) you can find me spending time with my family, or at my big boy job making sure planes don’t trade paint.
